• 50% of persons in West Ohio have not accepted Christ or are not attending a church
• 48% of the population is 35 or under and represents the greatest demographic of unchurched persons
• Large influx of people from cultures who will only be attracted to ministries that are sensitive to their unique characteristics.

Momentum that must be seized

• West Ohio United Methodist churches are experiencing unprecedented ministry and growth

Staff and lay leaders must be adequately equipped to meet these unique challenges.

Thirty percent of the pastors in the largest of our congregations will be retiring within the next five to ten years.
